Intangible Changes to the Tangible Self: Past
As we grow up, we lose many things: our memories, people, treasures. Despite their loses though we are undoubtedly impacted by their now forgotten presence. How do those forgotten traces impact ourselves?
Intangible Changes to the Tangible Self is an exploration of how the forgotten affects our current self through a series of photographs, prints and installation. The ‘Past’ shows what I’ve forgotten. The risograph print reflects the people and memories I do not remember paired with an index of my mother’s distinct memories of each moment. The light installation features images that I have a vague feeling attached to it, each window shows a different image through the use of light and colour manipulation.
